Pistyll Gwyn

Pistyll Gwyn (‘pure spring’) - a traditional, stone built west Welsh cottage - lies in farmland between the Black Mountains and the Preselli Hills in an unspoilt part of Wales: a landscape of rolling hills, small farms and scattered villages (very similar to North Devon). The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is to the west, and some wonderful coastline can be found within 50 minutes drive around Cardigan and Tenby. There is plenty to do locally: market towns to explore, hill and coast walking, fishing, canoeing, cycling and horse-riding.

Pistyll Gwyn extends over two storeys. There are two cottage- style bedrooms reached by a winding staircase- one twin bedroom and one double with plenty of space for a comfortable put-up bed.

Downstairs the dining room (originally the kitchen) has a massive fireplace presently unused with space for a snug within. The sitting room (formerly the parlour) also has an open fireplace.

At the back of the cottage is the kitchen and bathroom with w.c. The kitchen contains the original dairy slate shelves, handmade pine units with beech work-surfaces and new Belfast sink. There is a full size cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. A modern conservatory has been added to the side of the cottage, and this has a new sofa bed. The cottage has recently undergone extensive renovation and refurbishment.

To the side of the cottage is the boiler/utility room with new washing machine.

Pistyll Gwyn is set within 3 acres of its own fields and has wonderful views northwards over this rolling part of mid Wales. It has a garden at the side and an adjoining traditional stone barn (now used for storage). The cottage is approached over a tarmac drive (approx. 100yds off lane) belonging to the neighbouring farm which is much further along the drive and over the hill.
